Risa graduated with a Culinary Arts degree in 2014 and proceeded to work in the food and beverage industry for nearly a decade. Her focus during this career aimed toward the specialty coffee industry having grown passionate about this field following most of her teen year living in rural Guatemala. Events became a piece of her career beginning in 2020 when Risa began working with a luxury event planning company.  Since then, she has helped plan nearly 100 weddings across the USA. This diverse career background has equipped her to work with our incredible patients, volunteers, and TurningPoint team in her current role.

Risa moved from Pennsylvania to Georgia in October 2023 with her husband and two senior rescue dogs. In her spare time, you will find her cooking, working out with her husband, walking her dogs, or planning her next international travels.

TurningPoint is a special place because it fills a huge gap in the care of those going through and recovering from Breast Cancer.
