A testimony of TurningPoint's work:
Breast cancer is a disease that affects the entire family of the person that has it. Although it is not an easy journey, TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation center have lightened the load by providing great care to their patients. I was weak after going through surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. I could barely raise my arms or walk around without being drained. TurningPoint helped me strengthen my body, so that I could move around with my 4-year-old and do more for myself. The physical therapists and counselors at TurningPoint focus on what the patient needs and wants. During my first visit, the physical therapist made me feel like I had another family to support me through my journey of fighting breast cancer. The support and special care continued from all the staff at TurningPoint. I look forward to going to my appointments because they make me feel good about myself and less stressed. I am so grateful that the Atlanta location was opened. The Sandy Spring location was great, but the Atlanta location is more convenient for me and many other African Americans. There are so many African Americans that is suffering from this disease and don’t have access to the care that TurningPoint provides. With the new location being in a central area, it makes it easier for my culture to get the care we need. Thank you TurningPoint for all the care and support you give to our communities. You are truly a blessing to us all. -T. Thomas
