Fulton County Commissioner Dana Barrett is a returning TurningPoint board member and is serving on the Executive Committee. She was The Pink Affair emcee and served on the host committee from 2017-2023.
Prior to being elected in 2022, Commissioner Barrett was a tech executive and small business owner turned award-winning TV, radio, & podcast host.
Throughout her career, Dana has been an outspoken advocate for women. Her radio show included a weekly “Women on Wednesday” segment that featured successful women in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. That led to a women’s networking event series of the same name, designed to introduce all the incredible women she was meeting on the show to each other. Dana also used her platform on the radio to advocate for equal pay and to discuss sexual harassment and bias in the workplace. A repeat guest on HLN (Headline News), Dana has also written for Forbes, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
In addition to serving on the TurningPoint board, Commissioner Barrett serves on the Invest Atlanta Board, the Fulton County Pension Board, and sits on the Technology Policy Steering Committee for the National Association of Counties.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dana is a graduate of Cornell University, a breast cancer survivor, and an empty nester. She is proud to have raised her daughter as a working single Mom and even prouder of the woman her daughter has become.
