Megan Underwood is a new board member at TurningPoint after being a patient throughout her battle with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She understands firsthand the challenges that young adult cancer patients face and credits TurningPoint’s support for her physical and emotional recovery.

Professionally Megan is a Senior Manager of Technology Audit at Google, where she leads a team of technology auditors to identify and assess the impact of risks through assurance and solutions management activities. Prior to joining Google, Megan was a Manager in Information Security at Delta Air Lines. She has also held roles at The Coca-Cola Company and Freddie Mac. 

Megan served as an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta in various leadership capacities from 2012-2022 and served on the Virginia Tech Computer Science Alumni Advisory Board from 2019-2024.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She lives in Atlanta with her husband Geoffrey and enjoys traveling, crafting, and cheering on the Hokies!
