In addition to providing specialized rehabilitation care in our clinic in North Atlanta, TurningPoint is pleased to announce the opening of our second clinic! We are now also providing care in downtown Atlanta as we continue with our numerous initiatives to achieve our mission of reducing socioeconomic, racial, cultural, and geographic barriers to care.

Financial assistance, complimentary care and reduced-fee services and programs
A cancer diagnosis impacts a patient’s ability to work and fulfill their usual roles. This often puts significant financial strain on the patient and their family. Through the generosity of donors, sponsors and community grants, many programs and services are complimentary or reduced-fee. TurningPoint also offers financial assistance so that no woman or man going through breast cancer is ever turned away.
TurningPoint close the GAP initiative
TurningPoint participates in and supports The Global Access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Exercise Community Partnership Initiative. This is a coalition that includes clinical and research experts in breast cancer survivorship from across the United States (Georgia, Michigan and Louisiana), Canada, Bahamas, Denmark, Ireland and Iraq.

TurningPoint Atlanta initiative to increase access to care for black breast cancer survivors
This unique boots-on-the-ground initiative is mindfully working alongside the community to directly impact Black survivors via a culturally relevant and community-based approach to reduce survivorship care barriers and facilitate expansion of community resources.
Rehabilitation care is provided at a downtown satellite clinic in partnership with the Center for Black Women’s Wellness, via telerehabilitation and through TurningPoint’s virtual survivorship education and support programs.

Georgia Outreach Initiative
In an effort to reduce the geographic barrier to care for women and men impacted by breast cancer, TurningPoint provides physical therapy services via telerehabilitation and through virtual survivorship education, counseling, and support groups. This program is made possible by the Georgia CORE grant.

Detroit Initiative
In partnership with Oakland University, the Sisters’ Network of Greater Metropolitan Detroit and the National Association of Black Physical Therapists, TurningPoint is working to increase access to care for Black breast cancer survivors in Detroit. This initiative is funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
